Musical Theatre Dance

Come move with us! During this 7-week class, we’ll explore the basics of musical theatre dance from Fred Astaire to Fosse, no previous dance experience needed! Each week we will focus on a different building block of musical theatre dance, culminating in a private, informal performance for friends and family on the final day, followed by a wine & cheese gathering in the lobby.

PRICE: $105

To Bring: Please wear tight-fitting, comfortable clothes you can move easily in, and bring either jazz shoes (Capezio is a great brand for these!), ballet slippers, or socks.

Teacher Bio: Amanda grew up dancing, singing, and acting in Colorado Springs, and received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Lindenwood University. She has taught at and performed with multiple dance studios and theaters throughout Colorado and the U.S., including Brownville Village Theatre (The Odd Couple, The Lightning Thief), Rachael’s School of Dance (The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Don Quixote), and Springs Dance (Spring 2019 recital, Summer 2020 & 2021 recitals). She is currently a teaching artist for Theatre SilCo’s VIVO program and for local dance studio The Dance Collective.
